DialANerd Services Pricing -- 2011

In these tight times everyone needs to save money. At DialANerd we believe in not to exceed pricing based upon the amount of work we must perform. We also believe in doing a comprehensive job which makes the not to exceed price seemingly high. This choose your pricing page lets you select your own price based upon the work that best meets your needs. The three service level selectuions are:

1. Reinstall Operating System - $60

Service includes:

  • Removes All Viruses and Spyware
          -- 10 day Reinstallation Warranty
  • Tests Disk Drive for Physical Damage
          -- If the disk drive is bad, replacement is $60 plus cost of the disk drive.
  • Clean Interior of PC to maintain air flow for cooling
  • Visually inspect system for component failures
  • Deletes All Data - no personal data is saved
  • MS Office software must be re-installed
  • Virus scanning software must be re-installed
  • Installation files for Free Personal Use Virus scanning software provided
  • Depending upon Computer a reinstallation CD or DVD may be needed

    • 2. Reinstall Operating System and Save Documents and Settings Personal Files - $125

    Service includes:

  • Removes All Viruses and Spyware
          -- 10 day Reinstallation Warranty
  • Tests Disk Drive for Physical Damage
          -- If the disk drive is bad, replacement is $60 plus cost of the disk drive.
  • Clean Interior of PC to maintain air flow for cooling
  • Visually inspect system for component failures
  • Saves all data in user accounts under Documents and Settings (Users) folder
  • MS Office software must be re-installed
  • Virus scanning software must be re-installed
  • Installation files for Free Personal Use Virus scanning software provided
  • Depending upon Computer a reinstallation CD or DVD may be needed

    • 3. System Rehabilitation - $250 - Turn Around is 24 to 48 hours - sometimes longer

    Service includes:

  • Remove All Viruses and Spyware
          -- 60 day Warranty - remove new viruses for 60 days
  • Tests Disk Drive for Physical Damage
          -- If the disk drive is bad, there is no service fee to replace it,
              but the customer pays for the disk drive.
  • Make Polaroid Photo like image of disk drive contents
  • Clean Interior of PC to maintain air flow for cooling
  • Visually inspect system for component failures
  • Saves all data in user accounts under Documents and Settings (Users) folder
  • Save data in other folders specified by User
  • MS Office software remains installed (may require MS office Installation CDs)
  • Virus scanning software remains installed
  • Special software remains installed e.g. Tax software, Family Tree Maker, etc.
  • Clean and Defragment the Registry
  • Remove performance robbing software
  • Depending upon what is found OS reinstallation is sometimes needed but
          all data is saved and Office and Virus Scanning software is retained.
          We use an escalation procedure to avoid OS reinstallation if at all possible.
  • Hardware upgrades recommended

    • 4. On-site Service Pricing

    No minimum fee. The charge is $2 per minute ($120 per hour) with charges capped at $360. Maximum time on site 4 hours.


    5. Quick Fix Service - requires functioning Internet connectivity

  • Service fee is $1 for every minute capped at $240.

          This immediate remote virus removal may take hours
          because scans are run that require system monitoring
          to assure virus removal is progressing normally.

          Root kit viruses (the nastieness) found in Master Boot Records
          cannot effectively be removed remotely.

          If the PC is used or disrupted during the service appointment time,
          it increases the duration of the call and the cost.
